CountIQ is cloud-based people counting software for compatible Axis cameras. It brings entrance counts, real-time occupancy monitoring, foot traffic analytics and scheduled reports into one dashboard for retail stores, workplaces and public buildings.

Compatible Axis cameras detect people crossing configured entrance and exit lines, with supported analytics also counting vehicles and bikes. Detection and counting run locally on the camera using edge processing. Count data is sent to CountIQ in the cloud, where dashboards show activity and occupancy by site and zone. CountIQ checks configured occupancy thresholds, triggers alerts and updates reports as new data arrives. Update frequency depends on the camera integration and network connection.

CountIQ synchronises camera count data with its cloud platform for storage, dashboards and historical reporting. Teams can review activity across locations without collecting each camera's counts manually. Network access, reporting intervals and any requirements for a private camera network are assessed during setup so the connection fits your site.

Teams configure occupancy thresholds for the sites or zones they want to monitor. CountIQ evaluates incoming counts against those thresholds and triggers the configured alerts when limits are reached. Live dashboards and scheduled reports give teams the context to plan staffing and respond to busy periods.

If your existing Axis cameras and their placement are compatible, CountIQ can use them for counting without separate people counter sensors. Some sites may need camera repositioning, additional entrance coverage or network configuration. We assess these requirements with you before rollout.

Yes. CountIQ provides cloud dashboards, occupancy monitoring and automated reporting for teams moving from AXIS Store Reporter. Axis ended service support for Store Reporter on 31 January 2026.
